What steps can be taken to save the Pipistrelle bat of the Christmas Island?

Can somebody please tell me what steps is the Australian government undertaking, how well is it being implemented, references and also what should be done for the future?

3. It doesn't sound good. When a population gets this low, the genetic viability has been compromised. Had efforts to capture & breed the species been successful, they may have had a chance. But to answer your question, apparently the Australian government did provide a healthy investment to try to save the bat. Best now to sturdy further what led to its decline and try to prevent similar episodes in other areas whenever possible.
