How long do you leave your christmas tree up in America?

Heyy, I was just wondering :) In the UK, we usually leave them up until 12 days after Christmas. What about in other places? On youtube I saw a couple of videos whereby the people still had their christmas tree up like a month after christmas .

  1. I take my down New Years Day. It takes up a lot of room.
  2. There are usually two trains of though on this... .Some people insist on taking the tree down the day after Christmas. Some people insist on taking the tree down the day after New Years. I take mine down after New Years... Every once in a while, you will find someone who has their tree up well into January, but that isn't the norm.
  3. It's not really up in America. The World has no up and down, we are floating in space. It could just as well be down in America and up in Australia. Hope this helps.
  4. We take ours down about a week after New Years, but our neighbor STILL has theirs up. I'd say most Americans probably leave theirs up 1-2 weeks after New Years but there's really no rule.
  5. I take mine down on New Year's Day, but everyone is different. Some take it down the day after christmas and others leave it up for months until their spouse complains :)
  6. I think it really all depends on what people take their tree down depending if it's a real tree or if it's an artificial one. Of course, a farmed tree is going to last much longer but with an artificial tree you can keep it up well into the new year. We keep ours up till about mid January. We have an artificial tree such as this one, http://www.christmastowntrees.com/st415.html, so it does allows us a much longer time to enjoy it. I feel like we put so much time into this holiday and we wait all year for it to roll around and when it does come, it is gone in flash. I wish it could be Christmas all year round! :)
