- If a lot of kiddies have your attitude, 12 weeks a year for vacation is not long enough. And they wonder why there's a teacher shortage.
- My currency is different from yours so I need your input here: How much would you have to pay someone to babysit one of your children for one hour so they would not be insulted? Multiply that by the number of students in a classroom without giving extra pay for the educated teaching they do and you might find that teachers actually make less money per hour, per child cared for, than a babysitter. Let me know does it work out this way in your region as well?
- oh no! no sports or chistmas carols! But that is why a teacher becomes a teacher! i mean, i know I didn't get into it for, you know, teaching.
- my partner is a teacher and its brats like you that ruin it! these teachers have taught you how to read, speak and write, obviously you are a brat and have no respect for anyone. Put it this way, if the teachers didn't spend their time helping you learn the best job you could ever get is packing bags at the grocers! NECK UP AND SHUT UP! Teachers get paid 50k a year, that is nothing! that covers the cost of living and thats it! SO NECK UP AND SHUT THE FUC UP!
- Paid too much? Both the events you listed we do on our own time, with no pay! My job is not to run sports carnivals (which take MONTHS of preparation in my own time) or carols nights - my job is to educate. If you want me to do extra work... pay me for it. Yes, the children miss out, but why should we be expected to go above and beyond if the government won't even pay us adequately within school hours?
- It made me laugh that this kid says "Who agrees?" and not one person has agreed with him. Back off the teachers buddy, you wouldn't know how to read or write if it weren't for teachers. I don't know of any other profession that is subject to as much scrutiny as teaching. It's pretty disheartening. And don't even open the can of worms about holidays... Just don't go there
