Which movie do you recommend?
my moms work is having a christmas party at the theatres so the movie is free but these are the only choices, i don't really like them but i have to make a decision today, i don't know which movie to watch i saw the trailers but i still can't decide, which movie do you think is best for kids( 8 year old kids) Old Dogs- looks funny but it doesn't seem like it's for kids A Christmas Carol- looks good but alot of people told me it's scary, shocking for kids Fantastic Mr.Fox- not really into it but still give your opinion, who knows i might change my mind i was looking forward to old dogs at first but after watching the trailer and having a look at the story it doesn't seem like it's for kids so now i'm looking forward to a christmas carol but then again im not into it and alot of people told me that it might freak kids out

- If you're an 8 year old kid you shouldn't be on this blog. I'm telling your Mom.
- A Christmas Carol is Wonderful, but if You are worried about it being scary then Fantastic Mr. Fox is the way to go. It is a Great Family movie. Please Take My Survey: http://www.surveymonkey.com/s/SCYWF2Q
- Of these three - I can currently only give an opinion based on what I see as the plots. I haven't seen any of these FULL movies as per their versions. First off - I would not suggest "A Christmas Carol." Jim Carrey is awesome, the movie is likely awesome - but I KNOW the story. The story will likely scare AT LEAST ONE 8 year old - and likely more. I think this age is a little young for this film. Some would argue otherwise with all the desensitizing of the masses these days - but some kids would find it scary. "Old Dogs" looks funny like you said. I think the sub-plots and "adult" jokes that are likely injected throughout would make this a good "FAMILY" movie where a family could enjoy it with their kids - but it MAY - I didn't see it - not contain as much KID STUFF as a WHOLE kids movie might. I wouldn't discount "Old Dogs" but of the three, I'm leaning towards Mr Fox. Ironically I know the least about this film. But what I have seen makes it look almost ENTIRELY made for kids. My pick - as I type this - would be "Mr Fox" - I might read-up on these films - or watch one or two - and get back to you. When do you need to decide by? Good Luck.
- Fantastic Mr. Fox. Old Dogs and A Christmas Carol seem a little to mature for 8-year-olds.
- Old Dogs- everyone hated it. Read some reviews. A Christmas Carol- if you don't mind 3D, Jim Carrey, or Disney, go ahead. Of course it's scary, it's based off of one of the scariest books ever! Fantastic Mr. Fox- looks good.
