What weekend would be the best and the worst to see Jim Carrey's "A Christmas Carol"?

I want to take my kids to see "A Christmas Carol" I now it opens on November 6. But I figured that will be too early to see a holiday movie just a week after Halloween. I would like to take them the day after Thanksgiving. Do you think that the movie theaters would be packed that day. Or should I wait till early December. When are you planning on seeing the film. I just don''t want to have it too crowded so we can enjoy the film. Thank you for your help.

1. The day after Thanksgiving might be really busy (traffic and such), it being Black Friday and all. But if you're brave enough to venture out to see a movie, I say go for it! Perhaps you could buy your tickets online if you're worried it might be sold out. :o)
2. In the beginning movies that just came out are always crowded. I would wait until sometime in December, that way it shouldn't be too crowded and yet it's more fitting for the holiday and more enjoyable then too. Just make sure you don't wait too long or you risk going when the theater no longer plays the movie.
