How does Santa visit the homes of children who have no fireplaces/chimneys?

We're visiting my father at his apartment for Christmas. My kids are young and won't be questioning the science of Santa anytime soon. But the visit has got me wondering: How does Santa get presents under the trees of kids who live in apartments, or who live in homes without chimneys? Is there a standard and accepted explanation? What do you tell your kids?

4. i tell my kids that santa is a 70 year old who like little boys. that way they wont get abducted in case some maniac dressed as santa tries to abduct them. you gotta THINK of the kids.

11. We got rid of our chimney a number of years ago, while we were still young. I had asked what the big deal was for christmas, simply to be told that my parents had lent Santa the spare key, and he just came in the door now. "Easier on his feet with those 20ft landings too." :)
12. Santa is the spirit of Christmas and all the good wishes involved. We used to burn up our letters to Santa so they would turn into smoke and get to the North pole faster. Likewise, I would probably say that if there is a tree and if there are windows-then Santa can get in. I also had my kids write and tell Santa that they would be in a different place-just in case!
13. Santa "magically" appears, and leaves behind a mysterious dust. you can just use like...um...sparkly powder and say that he was here....or just come out of the closet and tell them there is no santa. my parents told me there was no santa when i was 8

17. well i am a kid, and i dont believe a single shred of those lies. what you should do is tell them that santa can fly through your house and drop the presents at the tree without missing. but still, someday youll have to tell them the truth: the fat man doesnt exist.

20. The answer to that is easy. Before Santa goes down the chummy he puts a finger to his nose. That allows a chubby Santa go down a very narrow chimney. Now if the house has no chimney he puts his fingers to his nose two times and the allows him to squeeze threw the key hole . Nothing can stop santa from not coming from visiting our home. A little imagination goes a long way.
21. Santa uses his "magic reindeer dust." When he is on the roof of the house or apartment he is visiting without a chimney, he sprinkles the reindeer dust on the roof and it creates a special Santa chimney. He then uses this special chimney to slide down and deliver presents...

I tell my daughter that Santa doesn't buy the presents...mommy and daddy does...Santa's job is to let us know whether you have been naughty or nice because he has watched you all year when mom and dad wasn't around. He also gets your list, listens to your wants, and notes your need making a list for mom and dad on the things he thinks you deserve this year. SO mommy and daddy go out and buy the things that Santa says you deserve.....lol....this way you get a little credit and the kids still are good because what they get depends on Santa's approval! Santa used to go down fireplaces and chimneys but Santa has gotten too old and times have changed because all houses aren't made as easy and there are more kids in the world to take care of. So he needs the help of mommies and daddies!
