why is it so bloody expensive to take kids to lapland?
i recently priced up for me, hubby and our 3 kids to go to lapland to see santa, but was shocked to find it over £3000 for 3 nights WHAT??????? its a bit crap that only kids whose parents can afford this kind of money get to experience lapland at crimbo!!!!!!!!! is limited places on lots of websites so its not that unpopular,

- well it is a long way and if people are daft enough to pay that for crap let them
- Does it matter really... Main thing is kids got plenty of love from mum and dad and family .. You know that it is just a commercial thing ,, santa and Lapland . You can create just as much wonderment at home , Think of what you can do for the kids with £3000 in the next year , Something far more lasting in their memories I am sure ..
- It's worth it to see the expression on their faces when they realise that Santa isn't real... first hand
- http://www.firstchoice.co.uk/destinations/lapland-holidays/ try this site here. it might help you find a cheap holiday. my auntie and uncle took their kids on holiday there last christmas. you might find some good deals.
- Well, it's Lapland and it's Christmas. Also, Finland has a very high cost of living, food and Hotels are expensive.
- Cos they know that they can rip us off and as parents we feel guilty if our children/ child can't go and their friends have been.
- Well that's just like saying it's a bit rubbish that only people who can afford it can go to the carribean for their holidays, or only people who can afford it can have Chanel handbags or a yacht or a Ferrari. Five people taking a plane to place that nobody is ging to visit for a holiday at any other time of year and staying in hotel rooms £3,000 sounds reasonable to me. It's a supply and demand thing - a matter of economics. There are plenty of people who think its a bit crap that you can afford to give your kids a roof over their head and put food in their bellies - never mind taking them on expensive trips to exotic locations. What's wrong with your kids seeing santa in the local department store as kids have for the last 40 years.
