what else can i put on the ceiling apart from foil Christmas decorations?

I have gone of the foil normal christmas decorations and just wondering if anyone had any other suggestions on what i could put up?

1. You could try wrapping fir tree garland with lights around a staircase or a piece of future. If not try putting lights around a tree in the house that isn't the Christmas tree.
2. You could go 1940's and loop different colours of paper to make coloured paper chains across your ceiling, or hang up hundreds of baubles, just like in Seven!!! (a spooky take on Christmas).
3. if u have kids then spend some time wi them makin ur own xmas decorations, i recently made a cardboard xmas tree with ma son n painted it n decorated it with glitter n stars, we gave it to his gran n she loves it
4. Try the old fashion decoration, like hanging up a string of pop-corn.
5. You could maybe try silver/gold beads, baubles or lights. In our house we hang baubles from the lampshade, lol.
