Should we forget about global warming? Is global cooling happening right now?

9. Climate Change has been happening since the formation of this planet. Man thinks he has a handle on it, but this is the same man that said the world was flat, that a solar Eclipse was God punishing him. The same man who said the Caribou would be wiped out by the Alaskan Pipeline, and since it was put in, the Caribou herd has doubled. So Man has no clue, he just can not accept that he is not in control of the planet.

11. the planet goes through a variety of up and down cycles. some based on oceanic trends, solar activity, and so forth. Some last months, some decades, and everything in between. Those trends create alot of "noise" in the global warming signal. However, since the mid/late 1800s, the lows have trended towards being less low, and the highs have been trending higher, and the averages have trended higher. The fact that we are currently in a cool cycle does not means that the LONG TERM trend that dates back to the end of the Little Ice Age has changed.
12. If there really was such a thing as global warming, the governments would not be advocating being able to "buy" permission/credits to avoid being in compliance. Those big companies that can afford to buy their way around it, will add those costs to any product they make. Global warming is in the same category as Ethanol. Gas prices keep going up, and so does food costs since much of the corn supply is going to the refiners.

16. Yes the data has been 'reshuffled' so that the climate emergency of the month club has now decided that global warming is causing the global cooling phenomenon. 17. Climate change has been a fact of life on planet earth for millions of years. Change can sometimes happen quickly. None of that long history of change can be attributed to the actions of man. Current trends may be influenced by human actions, but I somehow doubt human actions are the dominant agent of change. I will, however, lean toward caution and say: We should act responsibly and avoid excesses. We should avoid destruction of our environment at all times and allow nature to take its course where possible, provided nature isn't out to get us. Humanity thrives better when the climate is warm. It is difficult to raise crops on a glacier. Longer growing seasons are preferred. To see natural shifts in climate can not surprise any real scientist. Those buying into Al Gores political schemes are foolish indeed. Politicians who are Elitist Despots are the problem, not the cure, as regards our constitutional freedom to "Pursue Happiness". If they wanted to help the environment, they wouldn't need to build huge, powerful, costly bureaucracies to do the job.
18. Don't worry. The earth goes through these cycles about every 25 years, or so. The 50's were hot, the 70's were cool. The 00's were hot. Now I expect we will be cooling until the 20's or 30's. Then global warming will start over with a new generation that does not look at history. On the other hand...From what I've been told in school is that most of N. America was covered by glaciers millions of years ago. So, I guess we have been in global warming for millions of years.
