Santa

What actually happens to the mail that is being sent to the North Pole?

You know how children make "Wish lists" and want it sent to Santa at the North Pole? What really happens to that mail. Does it get thrown away or recycled? I tried searching the net but couldn't find anything.

  1. its a government conspiracy, it really goes right into the garbage once received
  2. Depends. Some post offices have a dead letter area where undeliverable mail is sent. Some have a staff of volunteers to handle Christmas letters, open and answer them. Some mail is sent to the post offices of towns with names like North Pole or Santa Claus, who have volunteers to open and answer the mail.
  3. it gets recycled no it dosent go to the north pole.If your answer to be it gose to the north pole im sorry.
  4. In some parts of the US there are volunteer "openers" who will open and reply to as many of the letters as possible but this is really few and far between. In the rest of the world it would get shredded (to comply by Data Protection Acts) in case of any personal details, and it would then be recycled.
  5. Some people are hired to open an answer letters however a vast number are recycled and are not delivered to anybody.
  6. good question. i wish i knew too..
  7. Well, when my sister and I used to 'send letters to Santa', my mom used to take them back in the house after we went in and saved them in her 'memory boxes'. . . I know this isn't really answering your question but it's cute to read them later on in life, and when I asked my mom what ever happened to the letters I sent to Santa, she whipped out the letters, lol :)
  8. I think they become left over scraps for the polar beers to wrestle over and feast upon. A Christmas feast for the polar bears. What a waste of time.
