1. Flights to CI are from Perth - not sure about Broome - for flights - CI is considered an international flight (like Norforlk Island) despite being a territory of Australia. Perth is the only international airport in WA.
2. declare yourself a refugee, tour the islands around the australian coast and when the government starts threatening to bomb, you know you've found it. ;)
3. Get on a broken down fishing boat in Indonesia and sail south. Throw away all your paper and you will get to Christmas Island no worries.
