Who else hated the movie Barbie a Christmas Carol?

I hated it on many main points. It's mainly because it was so different from the book. 1. Scrooge was a GUY not a woman. 2. Scrooge worked in the bank, while in the Barbie version she is an actress. Come on, they could at least made her the president of a bank or something. 3. Marley was Scrooge's partner who sent 3 spirits to visit him while in Barbie version, it's her aunt. They could have made it her singing partner instead. 4. And WHAT?! she didn't die in the future?! I mean come on! that's way off the book! She's supposed to realize how happy people are because of her death! I mean Scrooge realized that nobody gave a rip that he was dead and he didn't do anything in his life for others he decided to change. What's Barbie supposed to be? A pity party? My point? Worst Christmas Carol movie ever! It goes far off the book! If you want to see a movie fitting for kids watch Mickey's Christmas Carol or Muppet Christmas Carol. At least they stay kind of close to the book. I know it's supposed to be for little kids but it goes far off the book and if they just changed a little so that Barbie works in a bank, once had a singing partner, and somehow realizes that she needs to make a change because no one cares that she is dead. THANKS FOR KILLING ONE OF THE BEST DICKENS BOOKS EVER BARBIE!!!

  1. Did Ken play Bob Crotchless (Cratchett)? Wait...that's not funny at all. Sounded funny before i typed it. Oh well.
  2. U r soooooo right barbie is amazingly stupid in all movies she is a total loooooser
  3. Wow. You watched a Barbie movie? And took it seriously? And expected it to be good? I can't say I hated it, because I didn't watch it. No one but a three-year old would (should) be entertained by a Barbie movie, really. Besides, you should know that the book is ALWAYS better than the movie (have you seen Scrooged?).
  4. Oh come on, it's just a commercial movie catered to young girls. I'm doubting anyone took it seriously but you.
  5. I didn't see it but it sounds terrible! I should watch it just so i can hate, it.
  6. I didn't see it, but thanks for the heads up. My niece got a set of dolls that had three little girl dolls who were supposed to be the spirits. But none of those looked scary, just cute. If you want to see a really good female version of Christmas Carol, watch "A Diva's Christmas Carol" starring Vanessa Williams. In this one she plays a horrid and demanding singer named Ebony Scrooge who gets visited by the spirit of her former singer partner Marli Jacob.
