Santa

is it acceptable to walk into a Supermarket foyer to listen to preach about jesus?

wtf, i go to a supermarket for messages not to listen to some muppet with a mike and a bible blabbering on at the top of his voice, if i wanted to listen to that stuff i would go to church, is the supermarket right to allow that sort of thing? to be honest it pissed me off and i walked out and went elsewhere. theirs a difference from kids singing Christmas carols and making some extra money to listening to that

  1. The best choice when you don't care for the business practices of a particular enterprise is to choose not to be a customer.
  2. yes that so annoying...we have those here too, its not like we understand what they are screaming about...
  3. You should have invested in a dozen eggs, and pelted him with them :) Happy Xmas!
  4. The supermarket concerned will soon get the message
  5. we all have our own beliefs but we dont go preaching to others, so they should keep it to themselves. why do they think we want to hear what they believe. would they want to listen to say someone who believes alcohol is the way to go, no, i dont think so, so they should keep their beliefs to themselves and get on with their own lives, arghhh
  6. Sure go to the guys church and see if you can sell some milk & vegetables next sunday.
  7. A time and place for all things, and that's not it! Next Sunday go down to St Whatever's and set up a produce stand on the porch, turnabout is fair play right?
  8. Yeah, that's annoying to many customers. The business owner has every right to ask this preacher to leave but why this business would have such a nuisance there to bother people is beyond me. It's the surest way to lose customers. If customers wanted to hear about Jesus they'd go to their local church.
  9. i dealt with the same nutjobs on my universities sidewalks, i just keep calling the cops on them you cant reason with CRAZY lol
  10. I'd have walked out of there too.
  11. I do not agree with that kind of witnessing either. People who are inclined to spirituality will seek and find it on their own and those who are not interested will not listen. I also find that it scares children and turns them off of Christianity.
  12. I'd enter the store, go to the front desk, tell them what's going on, complain and then walk out. If they let the person preach there, I would then state that I will take my business elsewhere. There's a big difference between kids and Christmas carols and preachers.
  13. Those types rarely get permission to preach in public. They just show up. It's happened a couple of times at my university, and security usually tells them to go away (after we've all had a good laugh).
  14. ...even worse.. had a couple of erm, "representatives"(?) from my local church doing door-to-door the other day, she was lovely, complemented my flashing Christmas lights,. but he really got for want of a better word *pissy* with me (when I stated I wasn't interested) ....and started to try and lecture me on "thinking about the future..." etc etc,. Urgh, I'm at home. Minding my own. :o() !?!
  15. Yes, it is good.
  16. That's outrageous.
