Does Christmas Island still exsist?

The one that they did nuclear bomb tests on in the 50's- does it still exist? can people go there or is it too toxic still? is there animal life there? EDIT: to stop stupid people from answering- there were 2 Christmas Islands (correct me if Im wrong) one (that still exists) that is near Australia and one that was over near Hawaii ish... I think correct me if Im wrong. But im not talking about the one near australia

1. Doesn't matter where it was if there was a nuclear test there you and anyone else cannot go there for the next 100,000 years just to be safe. It is probably off limits to the public anyway.
