What is a good christmas gift for an 18 month old boy?

My godson will be 18 months by christmas. I am unsure of what to get him. I usually spend around $50 to $75 on him for christmas. I want to get him something fun that he wont outgrow right away. Maybe something that involves learning. Any ideas or suggestions?

1. Does he have an activity table? A ride on car? Those toys are the main interest at my house right now.
2. Now is a good time to get him interactive learning toys. I recommend Leap Frog Fridge Phonics. You can get alphabet ones or farm animals. The alphabet one teaches letter sounds and names and the farm one teaches animal names, sounds, colors. They also like arranging all the stuff on the fridge. This age is good to sneak learning stuff into fun things. As you mentioned, they outgrow things fast. My daughter will be 3 in December and my son is 10 months. They both play with the fridge phonics stuff that my daughter got for Christmas last year. She outgrows most toys quickly, but she also has liked stackable toys for a long time too. Hope it helps!
