who is kris kringle aka sata claus?

my daughter says santa claus is not real and i have tried to explain that kris kringle and sata claus is one in the same person but i tried to tell her of germany's christmas story

2. Over the centuries that Christmas has been celebrated several figures have become associated with it. Santa Claus, Father Christmas and Kris Kringle are three originally different mythical figures. Santa Claus was originally Saint Nicholas, a 4th century Saint and Bishop from Anatolia whose feast day is on 6th December and in some countries children still get presents from him on that day. Father Christmas is an english figure who personified the merriment and generosity of Christmas before it was banned during the Puritan period. Kris Kringle is a name derived from the German Kristen Kinder - the Christ child. The idea of the Kristen Kinder was introduced by Protestants who did not like the idea of Saints and thought children should get presents from Christ, not from a Catholic bishop. In the USA these have all gotten mixed up so noone really knows the difference any more.
