Santa

Secret Santa/ Kris Kringle present?

My workis doing that thing where you pull a name out of a hat and you buy a present for that person worth $10 no more no less. The present it not allowed to humiliate or upset but humor is wecome. I have drawn a man who is about 70 and I know nothing about him. He doesn't talk much. Please help me with some suggestions.

  1. Gift Card to a restaurant he goes to lunch at.
  2. Lottery Tickets A coffee mug A nice pen A gift certifies
  3. does he have a wife? can you call her? does he ever have a can of mixed nuts on his desk? like cashews maybe? do you ever see him with puzzle books? ask some of the guys you work with if they know him. Also, check his car and see if he has a ball team sticker on it. If he likes the yankees maybe you can get him a cup with their logo? do you ever see him with a starbucks cup? maybe a gift certificate? Does he wear the same sweater repeatedly (like it is his favorite/lucky one?) Maybe he would like one similar in a different color? Good luck.
  4. maybe lottery tickets
  5. How about a B&N classic book? The Beautiful and Damned (Barnes & Noble Classics Series) by: F. Scott Fitzgerald And it only costs $8. You could choose a funny one too.
  6. You could always get a gift certificate if you have no other option or are unsure of other gifts. This is what I make for most of the elderly people in my family.. Coffee mug Box of Hot chocolate single packet mixes Bag of marshmellows Either the soft peppermint candies that melt or the peppermint sticks. I buy a fleece blanket every year for 3.99 at our discount store and display all of this in a basket.. You could get him a nice pen set, if its work place apprpraite. A nice collectible ornament. If he attends church or its a dressy work enviorment ( you could get him a tie or cuff links ) A watch
  7. Try these! Probably best as stocking stuffers or secret santa. They are cheap and don't look it. I used these last year and they were a big hit. http://www.herculittles.com/ They have a great holiday special going on. I just bought a bunch.
