Im driving to santa barbara tomorrow by myself and wanted to know of some good places to meet up at?

Im driving 4 hours tomorrow(a little nervous) to santa Barbara to see one of my friends however neither of us have been there and would like to know of some good places to stay/meet at! (that arnt super expensive either) thanks!
