Which version of "A Christmas Carol" had a song with the line: Ebenezer Scrooge the man who hated Christmas?

I remember this from when I was a kid and saw this movie on TV. All I remember is Scrooge walking down the street, maybe having snowballs thrown at him, and kids singing, "Ebenezer Scrooge, the man who hated Christmas, never celebrated Christmas." The movie would have had to come out before the mid-60s, based on my age & what I remember.

  1. Sounds like if it was a musical...then it was the musical titled "SCROOGE" in 1970 with Albert Finney. One of my favorite versions. If i'm guessing the right movie you're talking about...the children are singing "Father Christmas" to Scrooge as he's heading home from work...they steal his hat, and sing about how much of a miser he is. Some of the lyrics are...."Father Christmas...Father Christmas..he's the meanest man in the whole wide world" You can rent / buy this movie at Blockbusters, or wherever they sell dvd's. I'm listening to the soundtrack right now. :)
