why do i feel sad when i hear christmas carols?

i just hate hearing christmas carols as they make me feel sad. I know i'm kinda depressed cuz i have no close friends and no boyfriend cuz i've been told by guys and gilrs that im ugly... i have my family but i still feel sad..why is this? i just feel lonely during the holidays

1. I know you may want what you think everyone else has..such as friends or a boyfriend. But cherish what you do have. If you have a family that loves you, you are ahead of the game. In the meantime, find a hobby you really enjoy, and the friends and boyfriend will come (like ballroom dancing or tennis). Be a nice person, get cutified for x-mas...make what you have fabulous :-) No one is ugly...the people who say that are way more ugly than anyone could be. You are not the only lonely one out there during the holidays. **huggs** ... (there is a really nice short story by Theodore Sturgeon called 'A Saucer of Loneliness' in a book called 'E Pluribus Unicorn' that you should check out. It's old but it really speaks to the feelings you talk about)
2. it's because you have come to associate christmas with loneliness. how about making an effort to go and socialise? that would help.
