Disney World Resorts at Christmas? Hi, me and my sister are flying down to Orlando to see my other sister for Christmas. We were interested in seeing the decorations at the Disney resorts and are trying to schedule in some time to go see them. We just had a few questions. 1.) Can anyone go inside to see the decorations, or just resort guests? 2.) Are you only allowed to go see these decorations at a certain time of day? For example, would we still be able to go see them at evening time? 3.) In conjunction w/ the previous question- Are the decorations (i.e- gingerbread houses/carousels) open all day or do they close at a certain time? 4.) Do all the resorts have decorations? 5.) What's the best way to get to the resorts? My sister who lives there has a car we're driving around- do they have parking (free?) or would it be better to take the Disney busses? Any other information you have on the resorts at Christmas time would be wonderful :) Thank you!!

Disney World: Summer VS Christmas? I went to Disney World this summer at the beginning of August. It was wonderful. There was hardly anyone there, lines were good, it was perfect. So I was thinking about going next Christmas. Do you think it would be more or less crowded than August determined by your past experience? Also, I heard that the Grand Floridian was best for Christmas with all their decorations. But, I also heard that the Wilderness Lodge had that Christmasy feeling. Which do you prefer? Thank you in advance :) May all your Disney Dreams come true!

Is Canadian thanksgiving a good time to go to Disney World? From the best answers I've seen, everyone says go during either Christmas for decorations (in which I can pass on, I'm not to bothered about decorations), or September-November. The only problem is, for Canada Schools, apparantly on my sheet, the first holiday (and only holiday till a loooong time) is October 05-08. 05 is PA Day (a free day off), and 08 is Thanksgiving. I would like to go when the weather isn't too bad (aka not raining every single day), and especially when it's not busy. I like rides mostly. Money isn't a problem. I would like to see some sort of event though. I think that's all I needed to ask. As stated, it'd either be for 4 days. I think if I could miss one or two days of school as well (I guess I'd do the work on the plane there and back) (however, I'd like to avoid if possible). Thanks in advance. And if isn't a good time, is Christmas good? Thanks guys. You all answered my question, and very well too. Due to this, I can't pick a best answer, as they are equal. So yeah, thanks again. Whoops, meant to say, thanks "girls". Sorry, silly mistake on my behalf.
Disney World at Thanksgiving? I am planning a trip for just 2 people, myself and one other, leaving the day after Thanksgiving (Friday) and coming back the following Tuesday. We want to stay (on Disney property) as cheaply as possible, also we were wondering what the crowds/weather/events were around that time? It's really important for us to see the Christmas decorations, what are the best spots to check those out?
for people who have done the disney college program: would you rather do the one in spring or fall? i was thinking spring because there would be less holidays, which would be time i would miss my family. in the fall season would be my birthday, thanksgiving, halloween, christmas, etc. but it would also seem like there would be less people then and i would also be able to see the disney holiday decorations. i also heard the spring one is longer than fall? is this true? i don't plan on doing the summer one. your opinions? thanks much in advance :)
How much will I spend at Disney? I am driving from Tampa. We plan on eating breakfast before we go at Mcdonalds. We want to eat a light lunch and maybe some ice cream later in the day and then have a nice dinner. I would like to get my son some Mickey ears and myself a Christmas decoration. Is 400 enough? The tickets are going to be like 180

Disney World In November....? We are going to Disney World the 2nd week in November. I was wondering a few things. First, are there Christmas decorations up yet? Also, how are the crowds? And what is the weather generally like during this time?
What is the most memorable or outrageous Christmas display you've seen this year? Some people go a little overboard with their lights and decorations, so I'm just wondering what's the most eyepopping display you've seen this year? There are some farms near our house, and these people go all out on lights! One farmhouse is completely outlined in strings of lights and those icicle lights, and all their fences are lit up too. In addition, they have every light up character you can imagine in their yard--snowmen, reindeer, Santas, Disney characters, etc. Another farm has their entire house and their silos covered in lights.
Christmas gift ideas? As you all know the holidays are quickly approaching, and I am in desperate need of some gift ideas! So here are a list of people I need to shop for, and some of their interests. Mother: She loves fashion, "homemade" gifts, and anything from the heart. Father: He loves fishing, hunting, camping, spending time with friends and family - and once again, homemade gifts. Grandfather: Books, puzzles, candy, etc. Grandmother: Books, Christmas decorations, jewelry, baking/cooking, family. Brother: Hockey, snow/skate boarding, hanging out with friends, anything cool to put in his room (license plates, posters, etc.) Friend #1: Chocolate, reading (Jodi Picoult), anything Christmas-y Friend #2: Harry Potter, Nightmare before Christmas, and chocolate. Friend #3: Harry Potter, F.R.I.E.N.D.S., shopping/clothes, Disney World So thank you guys so much for your help, and MERRY CHRISTMAS :D

Woohoo I booked my Disney World trip!!!!? So I booked my trip for Novemeber 30-December 7 2009. 8 days, 7 nights. Staying at Port Orleans Riverside with the dining plan. It will just be me and my boyfriend going :) So I have some questions for you: 1) What is your favorite park and what do you like about it? 2) What is your favorite restaurants in the parks? (Not any in the hotels because we will be eating at the park we will be at that day. 3)Can you give me any tips on how to enjoy my trip while I'm there? 4) How are the Christmas Decorations? This will be our first time going so I want it to be magical! Thanks for all your help!!
All these Disney Questions are probably really bugging you...but? I just booked my trip to Disney World. i am definitely going November 18th-November 24th. Tell me now, and be honest...am i totally and utterly screwed? Am i gonna be stuck in a mosh pit trying to get to a ride? can you not move at all? I've heard that a lot of people would rather go at christmas-time to see decorations and everything so I figured by going near thanksgiving I'd be doing a little better? is this so? I'm scared of what I might encounter. I go every spring break so I know what the crowds are like then, is it comparable to near Thanksgiving? oh by the way- has anyone ever stayed at Disney's POP Century Resort? whats it like? I'm staying there.
whats your favorite disney movie of all times? ima say nightmare before christmas. that one was the best. and its the only thing you can use as 2 decorations
Im taking a trip to Disney World this November...? We can only visit four parks. I really want to go to Magic Kingdom,Animal Kingdom,Epcot,Seaworld, and Universal Studios. Since we're going in late November i've been told Magic Kingdom is a definate so i can see the spactacular Christmas lights and decorations. Animal Kingdom i've been to before and would really like to visit again. I love animals. Epcot i've heard different things. From some people i've heard it's really boring and from others i've heard it's their favorite park. I guess it depends what your interested in, i'd like to travel to different countries if i got the chance so i think i'd like Epcot. SeaWorld is a favorite of mine because i have a passion for sea creatures and i'd actually love to work at Seaworld someday. I'd gladly visit here anyday. I also really want to swim with dolphins at Discovery Cove are there any packages or hopper pass type of deals where you could visit seaworld and discovery cove in the same day? Universal studios goes along with Island of Adventure, which you can do both in one day which is double the fun. I've been here twice so i'm afraid it might get a little old if i go again, does anyone know if they've made any changes or added anything new there? I'm struggling with deciding which parks to visit.. help? (: Also, does anyone have any reccomendations on hotels to stay at?
Hi, I'm going to Disney World Nov. 18th through the 24th I think. My question is concerning the crowds & xmas? A little birdy told me that Disney World isn't horrendous during this time because even though it is Thanksgiving, most people wait for Christmas. Any truth to this? I'm prepared and used to crowds at WDW because I go near spring break so thats pretty crowded. Also I've been reading about some of the xmas events on allearsnet.com and some say they will be starting like a day after I leave. Do you think its possible it might start a day early? LOL. And are the xmas decorations out by Nov. 18th?
When should I go to Disney World? After summer I would like to go to Disney world with my friend... were gunna stay at Port orleans (riverside) (or the Coranada) were both 18. and we want to either go for a week or 10 days.... kind of as a grad trip :P We dont want to go in the summer, and were both taking a year off this year. My sisters birthday is Nov 17th... I CANNOT be away for her birthday. (for like the week surrounding her b-day the 11th- the 20th (Because Im doing everything for her party which will most likely be on the 20th) like Im making her cake and all the food, and making other little treats, Im taking her shopping for her loot bags, and party favours, and decorations. Im helping her plan the games and stuff. so I deff cannot be gone for tat week (9 days) We want to go when the Christmas decor is up... What is the date when they change form Halloween to Christmas? also i cant be away for December 15- January 2nd (i do alot of baking for Christmas season... like 10 Cakes, and about 500-1,000 Cookies (we give them away as gifts) . and my Birthday is on the first and my parents would be upset if I wasnt home) We dont mind going late OCtober (like Oct 30th or 31st) but like I said, we do want to be in Magic Kingdom for the CHristmas season also of the days I have free, which dates are cheaper? 6 or 9 nights in Riverside or Coranada, meal plan and 5 days into the park. (6 on the 9 night) Thanks for your help :) Disney rocks! Been there 29 times, but this is the first time Im not going with my fam jam :P
kids christmas party help!!!!!? I'm throwin an xmas party for some of my friends+my sisters friends... ages 11, 12, 12, 9, 9, and another 12 (me! haha). We're having a bunch of food so i have that all figured out, but i need some music, games, movies, and decoration ideas. The music has to be new... not like those disney channel covers... like maybe rap/hiphop christmas stuff. Games that are fun for a christmas party but not boring and really little kid-ish. Movies.. again newish stuff.. i might rent 1 classic thing like the grinch or something, but any other good ones? Cool decoration ideas... party will be in my HUGE basement lol it's finished so not like concrete but i only have a mini christmas tree, not a normal 1 haha. ideas for that?? Thanks a lott!!! o ps its a sleepover 2
disney cartoon short? there is a christmas cartoon where there are small children in an orphanage and they have their beds all lined up on opposite sides of the wall... then they wake up and go in the living room to find their stockings with toys, but the stockings unravel, the toys break and they all start crying. they all go back to bed. then there is an old man who is walking by who hears the crying children and then he sneaks in the kitchen and makes all these toys out of kitchen utensils and makes 'snow' out of soap flakes and makes a tree out of umbrellas and sets up all these ornaments and decorations and then wakes up the kids and they all come out and are very happy and they have a sled and at the end they all get around the 'tree' that is spinning around. please help me either find this online, or any info about it, or a name. Anything related. Thank you.

Epcot or Mgm?? Going to Disney the first week of december with my husband. We've never been there during the christmas season for all the holiday decorations, so really looking forward to it! We're going to spend one day at Magic Kingdom/checking out the hotels on the monorail, but we can't decide whether to go to Epcot or Mgm. Which is better and why?? Which has the best holiday decorations? How are the rides? Any other "must dos" while we're there?
See if you can guess where I live....? It's a small country. We have excellent roads, excellent infrastructure, excellent public and private transportation. Everything is done first class. The airport is gorgeous, and has a swimming pool. Cost of living is high, but there are almost no homeless people. The few I've heard of, or seen were offered places, but declined because they wanted a better location. Health care is affordable to all, with a stringent means testing. If you are rich you can see a private doctor. Education is world class. Crime is present, but criminals are punished severely. The system is very transparent. If you are convicted of murder, armed robbery, kidnapping, drug trafficking, you will be hung. It is safe to walk around anywhere. There is no litter in the streets. Shopping is great and the restaurants are fab. Pornography is illegal. Racial tension is negligable, currently there are Merry Christmas signs up, Next month there will be another celebration. Every month there is a new batch of decorations celebrating another culture. We do not have free speech. (more or less) If you want to demonstrate and complain you have to apply for a permit. The "complaining" spot is designated and is in one of the nicest parks in town. It's called speaker's corner. The ACLU would immediately "stroke out" regarding this place. Regarding security here, my favorite story is... A few PETA people were complaining about how chickens are treated prior to slaughter. They actually put themselves naked into a cage and propped themselves in front of a KFC. They were on their way here to continue the act. They were arrested and deported on arrival here. Upon deportation, they were taken to the airport and told to take the first flight out. It did not matter where it was going. Just get out! They hadn't even done anything yet! My two favorite comments about this place. Best friend said " It's like someone's little social experiment gone right." Local cab driver, "This is East Germany wrapped up in Disney Land." So, what country is this??? First five answers are wrong. Not an Arab state. I can where anything I want. As long as the vitals are covered. Climate is tropical. Okay, I am in Asia. Southern Asia, perhaps 3 degrees north of the equator. North of Indonesia, South of Malaysia. Gads, that's gotta help!!! ze polka adot, you win!! Good job. It's an amazing tiny country. Trust me, these folks work really hard, all day, every day. Most take two days off a year. (Chinese New Year). Great safe place. I'm a girl and can walk around anywhere, anytime. Best of luck to you.

Girls what do you think? ok so i like this girl and from what i know she likes me too. we've been on one date and i asked her then what her favorite Disney movie was and she answered Beauty and the Beast. the next day i was walking around the mall and i spotted a miniature Belle decoration statue thingy lol its about half a foot tall and very detailed(its Belle wearing her yellow dress and holding the pink rose from the movie) i bought it for her for a Christmas present but she still isn't my girlfriend. My question is if i write or carve "Do you want to be my girlfriend?" on the bottom of the statue and ask her to look under it when i give it to her, do you think she would like that. Or as a girl would you like that?
