Does anyone know where I can find the best deals/ lowest price for Christmas yard decorations? I have been to Home Depot and Lowes and their prices are a little too high for me. What type of wire are Christmas - Yard Decorations made of? I am wanting to make my own Christmas Yard decoration. I am wanting to make it out of that wire that is used for the yard decorations you might find at Wal-Mart or Target like animated reindeer. It is covered with a sort of white plastic or rubber coating. My problem is, that I do not know what that wire is called or where I need to look for this kind of wire. How do I keep our one year old husky from chewing on our Christmas decorations? How do I protect the Christmas light plugs from the sprinkler system? We live in a warm climate. How are Outdoor Christmas Lights & Decorations Set Up? Though I put a Christmas tree & holiday lights up indoors every year, from next year on, I would also like to put lights and decorations up outdoors - on the exterior of the house as well as in the yard. That being said, since I've never done it before, I was just wondering how lights and decorations are put up outdoors. How to get someone to stop kicking down our moving reindeer holiday decorations? We have 2 lighted reindeer in our front yard as Christmas decorations and someone kicks them down every night. Help stabalizing a yard ornament...? I have a 6 foot cross that I added white lights too and want to put it in the front yard as a Christmas decoration. I was going to put it in the ground, but the ground is frozen. Teenagers Remove Our Christmas Decorations? This has been happening since last year, we decorate our yard for the holidays for the little kids to enjoy. However, the teenagers get a kick out of pulling them out everyday when they come home from school. We have talked with the parents in the past and have not had any problems. We do have a new family that just moved in with teenage kids, and today some of our decorations have been removed, and are laying out in the grass. Can the police legally tell me to take down my Christmas Decorations? Should I? I live on a main road in a 2 story house, and I put up half a strand of lights on my roof with the other half dangling to the ground. I then put winter clothes on my wife's mannequin, and I have it hanging by the gutter with a ladder knocked over on the ground underneath the mannequin. Have you toned down your Christmas due to finances? I don't know about you, but driving down my block I just don't see Christmas decorations in as many yards. Some houses don't even have a tree in the window. With the price of gas driving up the price of Everything some people must be finding it difficult to deal with the commercial demands of Christmas. I'm disabled. I live on less than $730 a month. Even though I bought presents through the year for the grandkids I simply could not budget anything for the adults in my life. Heating my home has become near impossible. So while everyone else is rushing about to stores and Buying Buying Buying... I sit at home with a 3 foot tree with 9 presents under it. All of them are for my two grandsons. I haven't gotten a single present from a relative --nor do I expect anything. We are all far too broke. So have a Merry Christmas everyone, but in all your merryment--stop and think about those who have less. I have a roof over my head and food to eat- not a feast--but food. Enjoy!
Christmas outside and lawn decorations? A waste of money or not? What's your opinion? I did the whole decorate the house thing one year.. it was a pain in the rear, it was a tripping hazard because of all the cords in the yard.. and we had nowhere to store all these moving reindeer, candy canes and giant snow globe after it was all said and done. We ended up selling all the stuff in a garage sale. I think it's more fun to drive around and see other people's lights than waste the money on this stuff.

Why do people find it funny to vandalize others property? When I left my house this morning for work, I discovered that my Christmas decorations (reindeer) were broken and lying in my yard. This happened last year too so we bought new ones this year & placed them closer to our house so someone can't just walk by and hit them. How do get my landlord to give me privacy and stop coming into my yard all the time? He lives across the street, but comes and hangs out in my yard every day. He cuts flowers in my yard and takes them home. He even tried to decorate the outside of my house with his decorations my first Christmas here without consulting me first and I made him stop. What do you think of banning religious holiday decorations? Where I live they are trying to pass a by-law to outlaw any religious affiliated decorations - even outside on private property. At Christmas only snowman, candycanes and other non-religious decorations would be allowed to be displayed outside. I can understand not allowing religious affiliated decorations on public property but is it that offensive to place them in your own yard? If I go past decorations that were inspired by another religion's teachings it does not cause me any offense because whether I share the same beliefs as them it is their own property and should be allowed to do as they wish as long as it isn't explicit or derogatory. Do you feel as if religious-affiliated decorations outside should be banned or the world is trying to become to politically correct? To all the questions about where this is happening: I live in Canada. Also, the by-law would prohibit businesses or any other public spaces to allow these decorations displayed. By public spaces in my above additional details I mean anything that can be viewed by the general public i.e. yards, schools, malls, church yards, businesses.... etc
