I have a great credit score, nothing bad in my history (maybe a little short, I was living in Canada until recently so my credit cards weren't with American banks), and I want a rewards credit card for cash back. I was denied by my new bank 3 months ago for a Visa because I had too many recent inquiries into my credit history since opening 2 department store credit cards in 2010 (Christmas discounts...). I have an AmEx Gold card that I use occasionally as well. I applied for the Chase Freedom Visa last week and was denied for having "too few revolving accounts". So I had too many accounts before, and now I have too few? How is somebody like me supposed to get a Visa card? What should I get my mom and stepfather for Christmas? Please don't suggest gift cards, I'm aware that's an option but it's a last resort. Is the 3DS worth buying now for just one game? I just want to buy Nintendogs and Cats right now. Right now in the Target sale ad you can buy the 3DS and get a $25 giftcard. I am going to Amsterdam over Christmas and am thinking about buying the I Amsterdam card.? It looks like a good deal as it includes entrance to all those museums, free canal ride, discounts etc and I like the idea of just having one card to jump on any bus, tram or metro. Can I get som reassurance that I am doing the right thing from other parents and a good luck? Ok Long story short wife is a SAHM we are starting to have money problems. I used to work two jobs but i quit one two years ago because I was only scheduled one day a week and for three hours I was spending more on gas and having to buy dinner than i was making. We were doing fine but not anymore. (Health insurance went up at my job the monthly payments and the out of pockets for doctor and meds wife is diabetic and needs meds and the kids both have allergies and use a nebulizer etc so now we spend more each month. Food has gone up and we had one child hospitalized for a week this year still paying that off so we need some money to catch up) I know i need to do this for the family but I am so not looking foward to the leaving while they are asleep and not coming home till they are asleep. Is it possible to remove late payments from a credit report if your family was using the card? My wife applied for a department store credit card so her Mom could get a discount one Christmas. It was during college before we met and before my wife knew better than to do this. Her Mom was supposed to pay off the card and close the account; instead, she continued using the card for several years and paid late on 5 occasions. We discovered this when buying our first home and confronted her Mom, got the card paid, and closed the account. We're looking to refinance our house now and, with the current economy, we're afraid the late payments will have a bigger impact now. Is there any way, without causing problems in the family, to get these late payments (or the entire account) removed from my wife's credit report? The card was never in her possession and the bills went directly to her parents.

Do you think I'm going overboard on the pictures? So at Christmas time (when my little one was 6 weeks) we got her pics taken and our family pics. We spent 180 dollars on it, but got loads of pics, the copyright, and a cd of them so we can print pics out at the walmart photo studio. Anyway, with that came one of those sears portrait member cards. So I no longer pay the sitting fee, and everytime I get pics taken I get a free 8 x 10. I also get a military discount of 10 %. best train deals in England? My fiance and I are traveling to England this Christmas and we will be traveling in the south east of England. Fraud by Macy´s !? In December 2007 I bought a fragrance as a christmas gift for my mother at the Macy´s store in Santa Maria,CA. I paid the amount of $71.00 in cash. After that the clerk offered me a Macy´s card to receive a 10% discount refelecting in a month on my new account. I signed up for it. Until March 08, I heard nothing from Macys neither did I receive a Macys card.But I had a alarm on my credit report saying that I owe $165 to Macys. I called them and they found that they had the wrong adress. Also they said I owe them the money for the fragrance. I told them that I already paid in cash in December. Gamestop question....? Hi. Here is the deal. I have a Edge Card. I know you get discounts and yada yada, but can the card be used to purchase USED systems? I plan on buying 2 used PS2's. One is for me and the other is a Christmas present... ... I plan on using the card to get a discount on the purchase. There is no credit on the card.

Has this every happen to you? A friend ask you to pick out a gift...? for Christmas and then doesn't get it for you? My girlfriend that I have know for 20 years sells pampered chief. She made a big fuss that I should pick something out of the catologue for christmas since she got such good discounts. Well, I always buy her kids gifts and then ran out and bought her a gift as well. She knew we would be meeting up for Christmas day, and I drive all they way to her house and give them all their gifts.... and she has NOTHING for me. Not even a card? What the F? I spend all this time picking out something because she insisted on and then take the time to buy her and her kids gifts..... and she doesn't even blink about giving me NOTHING? How should I take this?? I know gifts don't matter, but why have me pick something out.... and I bought her a gift because of it! I was there for 8 or 9 months, got them several credit card applications from customers signing up per day (119), etc. Well, Thanksgiving was approaching and I knew my family had a Hawaii trip planned. So a MONTH prior, since I know retail and holidays plans don't mix, I go to my store manager saying (lying) that my sister was getting married and asked if I could have time off Thanksgiving week. She said "Well everyone has to be on the schedule, but just call in sick that week." I said, "Thank you so much" and that was that. So I went to Hawaii, called in sick each day, and came back to work. My mom came in December 2nd for Christmas shopping and before they said you could give discts. to immediate family. So I gave my mom my discount and a special promotion they were doing for "Family and friends." My mom saved $49.71 on this TV. Well a week later they call me into the office, Loss Prevention, and they talk to me like a criminal. Saying I stole from them, etc, etc. The store manager said immediate family is only your spouse and kids. Wow that's dumb! Over half of the employees there aren't married and are childless. Cheap bastards! Anyway, they had me sign a prominsary note saying I'd pay back the $49.71 and the store manager said to come in that Tues to pay it. So that Tues I go in at 4:30, which they said to, the OTHER manager on duty said "Oh can you come back at 6? So-so isn't here yet." So I do so. And I have the money IN CASH on me. So when I come back they make me wait 20 (more) minutes and then finally the assist. manager or supervisior or w/e has me sign "termination" papers. She says "You used your discount for your mom... that's theft." So I signed it b/c I was tired of their B.S. And didn't wanna work there anyway calling me a thief. I begin to hand her the money that the store manager and LP said to pay back that day, and she's all, "no WE can't accept that." What?? So I walk out, not looking back. Oh and that day in the LP office, no body said I was getting fired, just that I needed to pay it back, and then they lay me off and NOT let me pay them? Uhh wow. So anyway since then I got a job making more money then they paid and you can use your discount for anyone that you know. Treats their employees way better. So jsut today I got a letter from a lawfirm in the mail who represents Mervyn's. It just saying I signed a prominsary note last Dec. that I'd pay $49.71 and they hope to hear of my immediate response to paying it within 30 days and they'll be glad to work out a payment plan if I can't make ONE full payment, and they hope to work it out so no legal action is taken. So yeah, no problem there. I mean it's a sticking $50, and not worth legal B.S. on me by ignoring it. Meanwhile while I worked there it's funny b/c this one lady who had two kids with her tried stealing a bunch of kids' clothes totaling $300 or so. The LP guys let her off with a stickin' CITATION or maybe even just a warning, I forget, b/c the amt. was under $600 and she had two kids with her so they felt bad. Yet I, their employee then working crazy night and morning hours working my butt off, and they call me a criminal for giving my mother my discount and saving $50?? So I guess I could've avoided all of this by having my mom bring in my little cousin with her that day. LOL. Thoughts, advice, etc?

Take them to court? I just bought a CHANEL handbag from the CHANEL store and it was a used bag.? first of all I was debating on buying it because CHANELS are so darn expensive. My man wanted me to have it so he wanted me to have it for my Christmas present. I bought it for $2,300.00 from the Official CHANEL store here in Summer Set in Michigan from Sacks Fifth Avenue. I go hame so excited and in love with my jumbo tote bag, even though I felt something was off, the color was bothering me, but I kinda ignored it. I know this bag has been used or it could be a fake and I am so heart broken right now. I don't know if I should sue them or bring the media in on this or just go exchange it and forget about it. Hi, it is my brothers 19th birthday in 12 days, he will soon be getting his car, what can I get him? Hi my brother is turning 19, he has his red P plates and is about to get his first car, its a black mazda 6. He has very expensive taste and I dont have much money to spend and only 12 days until his birthday. I looked at getting him customised plates from the rta but really dont have $400 to spend, plus he is spoilt and we only spend $50-100 on one another as brothers and sisters. I could put in a little extra and double my price limit and combine his birthday and christmas present but really dont have that sort of money. So number plates are out, I was thinking about something to get him for his car but dont know what to get, I searched mazda 6 (he is getting a black one) on ebay and didn't find anything too great. I was thinking about that driving course I have heard of that you pay a certain amount of money for and do a one day course that teaches you hazzard skills which on completion gives the person who passes the test a discount on their insurance due to them having completed this test? Does anyone know the course I am speaking of? How much is it? How much can it save someone on insurance? Where can I find information on such a test in Sydney? And would this be an appreciated gift? I want to give him something good but being my little brother I always overspend on him and he is already very spoilt so this year I want to keep the cost to a minimum but I want to give him a gift that he will really like and appreciate. Sony A200 vs. Canon Digital Rebel XS, what do you recommend? ? I am in the market. This is going to be my Christmas present. Its either a Canon Xs or Sony a200. I can get both for nearly the same price (slickdeals.net or my discount at work). I own a SLR Minolta camera, so that lens can fit on the a200, but I think the kit lens will be better. I've owned a Canon point and shoot and I thought it was a great camera. That's why its between the Xs and a200. I would also like to know what people recommend on payment. I can either save my money for the camera ($500) and spend it then, or I go through dell.com and do payments for it. I don't have a credit card and I think its a good way for a student to build credit.

Will this Pantech Duo work for me? Hi, I really would like to get the Pantech Duo. I'm a teenager, and don't have much money, and my parents already got me my christmas presents. haha. The thing is, I have a LG Shine, and am not eligible for an upgrade with AT&T. I know I can just take out my SIM card and put it into that one. I am trying to just buy the phone separately, so I can use my SIM Card. Is it bad to buy a used phone off of Craigslist? Could there be anything potentially dangerous about it that could harm the phone or anything? Also, I was looking at Amazon.com and found it. I obviously couldn't' get all the discounts off of it because I'm not eligible to upgrade or renew my plan. If I bought a new one off of Amazon, would it be with NO contract? am i wrong to be angry at my friend? backstabbing? i work with another girl thats also my friend shes just been promoted to director at the company iv been with for 7YEARS (im mid 20'3 shes 32) she asked me at christmas to go halves on a gift for da boss so i said yeah course i will coz shed seen somethin really nice n wanted to pay for only half, then i get t work n c two gift on his desk wrapped identical in her handwritting one from both our names in small then other big gift from her ! she even got a thank you card or him n his wife n i didnt even get a ta 4 the gift. now i thnk this is well out of order, its mean. no? also we went our for a meal and i organised the trasport as a discounted price as i knew a driver, but she paid for it as she offered n wanted no money off anyone (she then claimed the money back from someone at work) so she could say it was all her! n when the boss found the number in my pad he asked her y i was using compnay time to call random people instead of coming clean n saying it was a favour for her she said "oh shes been doing it all week". am i being funny or is this not really unfair and very backstabbing she knows iv been thougth such a bad time n hasnt even bothered to make an effort.

Will I see a difference with a Nvidia GTX280? Computer specs: MoBo: Nvidia Nforce 680i LT SLI CPU: Intel Q6600 @ 3.2 Ghz Graphics Card: Nvidia 8800 GTS 512 Power Supply: 800 Watts RAM/Memory: 3 gigs @ 890 Mhz My question is: Will I see a significant boost in performance in games like Crysis, Far Cry 2, Fallout 3, STALKER: Clear Sky, etc? I know that the HD 4870X2 is much better but it's a little expensive for my parents for Christmas. The GTX280 is pretty much their limit, and I'll still be pitching in for the cost (about $370 with online discounts). The reason I ask is because I ran a specs. test the other day (can't remember where it was) and it was seeing how much a GTX280 would improve my computer and it said that it would come close to no improvement whatsoever.
