who is kris kringle aka sata claus? my daughter says santa claus is not real and i have tried to explain that kris kringle and sata claus is one in the same person but i tried to tell her of germany's christmas story

Silly, random Christmas memory.....? Do you have a silly, goofy random Christmas memory from your childhood (or anytime, really)? This one just popped in my head today. When I was younger and we lived in Germany we used to put our boots out for Kris Kringle to leave candy and gifts in (I'm guessing this is a German tradition?) and one year it got filled with Hershey Kisses which are my favorite... Anyway, after I emptied my boot and put them for school one day. When I got home that day I had melted chocolate all over my foot... apparently I didn't get them all out. Looked like I had stepped in a big wet pile of dog sh*t lol
